Born too late!

A young lady came up to us at the end of a concert and informed us that we had been born too late. When we asked her what she meant she clarified her statement by explaining that we wrote songs that were reminiscent of a bygone era of songwriting and that our songs would much more readily fit into the era of Simon-Garfunkel, James Taylor and the like. Well if that isn't a compliment I don't know what is...

People often compare our work to musicians such as Paul Simon, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and equally great bands like Magna Carta and Dulcimer and we suspect that if we had been born even ten years earlier we might well have fitted very nicely into that musical environment where songwriters were still songwriters and not song-borrowers, and music didn't have to be driven by beat boxes or use only two chords in order to interest listeners.

Either way, we are where we are and we're delighted to be so often compared with such esteemed and unique impressarios.
